SNOWSOUND AT MoMA IN NEW YORK

The MoMA – The Museum of Modern Art in New York has selected Snowpouf and Napwork, designed by Paola Navone, to enhance visitor comfort during the exhibition dedicated to Marlon Mullen. The exhibition will be on view in the Museum’s Projects gallery from December 14, 2024, to April 20, 2025.

In museums, large open spaces can amplify ambient noise, often creating an acoustically challenging environment. Thanks to their sound-absorbing Snowsound technology, these upholstered seatings improve acoustic comfort while also offering visitors the flexibility to move the poufs around and find the perfect vantage point to admire the artworks.

Marlon Mullen uses art publications and other printed materials as starting points for his paintings, creating radical reinterpretations of these sources where text and image are transformed through his dynamic use of color and composition. Since 1986, Mullen has been working at the NIAD Art Center in Richmond, California, a pioneering studio for artists with disabilities.
